After several recommendations we decided to visit Salt Kitchen & Lounge in Bugibba (Malta) for a special occasion. We were impressed. Love the decor, the setting and the vibe. Whoever was responsible for styling, deserves some kind of medal. It is probably one of the most beautifully decorated and exclusive restaurants in the area.
Food is exquisite, from the starter to desserts. The Menu is quite varied and the quality of the food is out of this world, service is great too. The staff were lovely and super friendly, which added to the value of our experience.
We were greeted by one of their lovely waiters and shown our table without any hassle. We asked if fresh fish is available and he promptly showed us the specialties of the day. For starters we opted for the in house truffle gnocchi, to enjoy over a great glass or two of wine.
This was followed by the Bistecca Fiorentina which was cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth. It was served with garlic fries, portobello mushrooms and a Bearnaise sauce.
We barely had room for dessert but we decided to opt for the Passion Fruit sorbet. We couldn’t resist something refreshing and light.
